Senior Colorist Troy Smith

Troy produced tv shows and learned Avid while attending DePauw University. After landing an entry level position at Level 3 Post in Burbank, he quickly moved up the ranks to assistant editor, editor, and then colorist, where he worked on shows such as 24, The Biggest Loser, and more. Troy was the first hire when Margarita Mix opened their video department in 2011, color grading shows such as The 1% Club, Life Below Zero: First Alaskans, Port Protection, The Shop, Top Gear USA, and multiple commercials for companies such as Ford, HP, and Legoland. So far in his 20-plus year career, he has worked on over 85 titles. Troy is a founding member and board member of the Colorist Society Hollywood Chapter, an occasional reviewer for Post Perspective, and has been a beta tester for Nucoda Film Master. He married his college sweetheart and is the proud father of three girls and one boy.
