Interns from two different programs are coming to FotoKem this summer—the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences “Academy Gold Talent Development and Inclusion Initiative” and the “HBCU Next” program founded by playwright, author, and filmmaker David E. Talbert which is focused on under-represented storytellers from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The filmmakers will be learning all sorts of different skills and applications as they shadow the FotoKem team of colorists, producers, innovators, and technicians through all aspects of post-production. The internship runs from June 17 through August 9 and is focused on providing the young creatives with a unique opportunity to learn how films and series are finished by actually creating and finishing a short film as a team. We’ll be posting that film here when it’s finished so check back soon!
FotoKem is honored to be a part of both of these fine programs and in doing what we can to help pass the torch of filmmaking to a new generation of talented and creative filmmakers.
